Katharsis Recordings has just launched a podcast series. The concept of our podcast is spreading the attraction/charms of Japanese scene both locally and globally. We will be out live recordings in Japan. 
It’s an honor to kick-off our 1st podcast with a killer live mix by guest Takaaki Itoh. This mix has been recorded somewhere in Shibuya in 2020. Enjoy his 2h set.

A live recording of "Liquid Drop Groove 5th Anniversary the Open Air feat. Katharsis" EDEN " held in Kawaba Village, Gunma Prefecture in July 2021 has been released from the Katharsis podcast series.
We want you to enjoy the fresh DJ mix of the two guys who livened up the floor with emotional development while being aware of the build-up at dusk on the first day of EDEN.

Automated Control (ARUTA + Sryu）
Automated Control is a DJ duo made up of ARUTA and Sryu.
Two young DJs who are active in the techno scene in Tokyo have fused their individuality and have got in various fields. While their set is improvised, it captures the hearts of the audience with inflectional groove and controls the floor freely as the name implies.

2021年7月に群馬県川場村で開催された「Liquid Drop Groove 5th Anniversary the Open Air feat. Katharsis "EDEN"」でのライブ録音がKatharsisのPodcastシリーズから公開された。初日の夕暮れにビルドアップを意識しながら、エモーショナルな展開でフロアを沸かせた2人のフレッシュなミックスを楽しんで欲しい。

4th podcast with a killer live mix by guest DJ MARIA. She is new face from Japanese techno scene.

She started DJ career in 2015 and changed her name to "DJ MARIA." in 2020. She is a DJ active in the techno scene in Japan.
She has a reputation for her style of playing, which is not bound to a single style, but freely incorporates all styles to create a psychedelic sound journey that draws out the energy of sound to the maximum.
She is known for rave-like style of playing Acid/Trance/Psychedelic Techno, but also specializes in House, Downtempo, Tribal, Ambient, World Music, and Ethnic music....
She plays mainly at outdoor raves, festivals and clubs.
In addition, he has mixed for a number of international labels, has appeared on DOMMUNE, and organized the techno party "RELATIVE" in Shibuya, Tokyo from 2017 to 2019. She is still active in many fields, supporting and organizing parties as well as producing music.

Tokyo based DJ, discovered electronic music in 2019 and started DJing in 2021. Her genre-less selection of experimental tracks ranges from techno, electronic, experimental, and downtempo.

Lisa Mizuno is a Japanese DJ based in Tokyo. She has been part of techno and psychedelic trance scene all over the world, especially Japan and Europe.
While she dance and feel the moment,Realized the power of music has a great influence on people.
So, she use hypnotic techno music as approaching people’s subconsciousness to try to make their life more easier and fun.
She selects tracks that incorporate experimental elements and conscious of the flow that invites the listener towards to higher journey.
Her sound Inspired by our predecessors from various fields and connect with her philosophy of life.

With a smoky, empty, and colorful sounds, he selects techno and drone music, combining the unique analog textures and ambiguities of vinyl records and cassette tapes to create mysterious soundscapes.
He hosts GARDEN, a techno party in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, which has a beautiful waterfront view and the latest contemporary art, while still retaining the historic downtown atmosphere. In the basement behind Sensoji Temple, he holds Drone Yashiki, a party where he expresses himself through a left-field filter, eliminating the boundaries between genres, and transmits underground music mainly from the east side of Tokyo.

Endurance @joshua-stefane is the ambient project of Canadian-born Joshua Stefane. Using modular synthesizers, field recordings, and cassette tapes, Endurance’s sound has become increasing minimal and tonally-focused over the years, employing a minimum of elements to create a maximum of expressiveness. In addition to releasing from labels such as Constellation Tatsu and Mystery Circles, Endurance also curates the Japan-based tape label Muzan Editions. As a live performer, he has appeared at numerous high-profile events such as Kyoto’s Star Festival, Tobira Records-run Extremely Cold Music Festival, Moment, and Scale, with an increasing emphasis on bringing deep ambient soundscapes to techno music parties.

DJ / from Tokyo. He is a world music/traditional folklore discoverer with an original point of view. On the floor, he invents freestyle grooves, manipulating everything from ethnic music to the latest electronic music.
He also writes, performs with international artists across genres, and supports invitation activities.
Since the fall of 2018, he has been the resident DJ at The Observatory, a club in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Curated the Myanmar traditional music remix disc "Kalab Mixed Myanmar #1" (Rollers), provided mixes for Worldwide FM and NTS, and performed at Rainbow Disco Club 2022 and Mindgames presents Balance.

2019年、Contact Tokyoで私たちKatharsisクルーがオーガナイズするパーティに足を運んだことでテクノと彼女の出会いが始まった。その後、DJを本格的に始動し都内や野外パーティでプレイ。絶え間ない努力で実力と選曲眼を養う。今後の活躍が楽しみなDJの1人だ。

In 2019, she experienced techno when she visited a party organized by our Katharsis crew at Contact Tokyo. After that, she started DJing in earnest, playing in Tokyo and at outdoor parties. She has cultivated her ability and song selection skills through constant effort. She is one of the DJs we can look forward to seeing more of in the future.

Since ’95, NOCO has been navigating the people into a state of trance with dance music. She intricately maps out a world that dives deep down into the farthest corners of Techno and Trance. The very essence of NOCO is the one-off experience, never playing the same set twice. Currently, she continues her self-exploration as one of the organizers and resident DJ of the open-air party PARAMOUNT that has been running since 2013.

2023年最後のPodcast更新は、東京を中心に活躍するSakumaのtechno mix。自身のパーティ”Modest”をWOMBを中心にオーガナイズ。今年はValentino Moraの回でご一緒させて頂きました。Katharsisの2人と同世代ということもあり陰ながら繋がりを感じてきました。
Sakumaらしいスペーシーで走らせるテクノMIXを堪能してください。

Sakuma @sakuma_modest
Born in Niigata, Japan in 1990. Influenced by metal and experimental bands since childhood, his diverse playing style is precise and dynamic.
In 2015, he moved to Tokyo and started his own party "Modest" in 2017.
Currently, he holds own parties at WOMB, one of Tokyo's leading clubs.
He has played an important role in the Tokyo dance scene by inviting DJ Nobu,Eric Cloutier, Valentino Mora, and others in the past.
He was also a resident of Aoyama OATH for a year from 2017 to 2018.
In addition, he also plays at other major clubs in Tokyo and supports many artists.In 2019, he had played at Dommune at the Setouchi International Art Festival, followed by festivals such as rural, Re:birth, Liquid Drop Groove, etc. In 2023, he had played at Future Terror, one of Japan's leading techno parties, and is expected to make further progress.
He is expected to make further breakthroughs in 2023.

Kazuma Onishi is a Japanese DJ & Producer living in Melbourne, Australia. 
With a strong gravitational pull towards Techno, Kazuma has a diverse range and taste in music, often playing Minimal House, Deep House, Tech House. 
Kazuma often finds unique and new ways of blending tracks and genres. As a producer he is able to incorporate loops and samples into his sets, drawing on his wide array of inspiration to create a multi layered groove and colorful journey. His music is often hypnotic, spacey and high energy with a driving sense of direction balanced with trance inducing melody. 
Kazuma has played at Australian festivals such as Strawberry Fields, Earthcore and underground parties in Melbourne at venues such as My Aeon, Brown Alley, New Guernica, 161, Loop, and Shed 14。
