I fell slowly 
In autumn 
Only to 
Find you holding 
My cards to your chest

If my August 
Was all you wanted
You shouldn’t show me

Holding the earth 
Just to find that it’s moving 
Not an hour to spare

If we’d started at corners 
We’d be half as confused

Just to find there are two 
With the other so tight

Nobody told me
