Mike Gravel, the Alaska Senator and two-time presidential candidate, died on Saturday at 91. Dan Ellsberg, the former defense analyst who leaked the Pentagon Papers in 1971, eulogizes Mike Gravel, the late Alaska senator, who entered the classified documents into the Congressional Record. Ellsberg is joined by Lynne Mosier, Gravel's daughter. Both praise his moral courage and urge others to honor his memory by challenging political cowardice.  Gravel's daughter Lynne Mosier shares her memories, talks about what was important to her father and calls out The New York Times for disrespecting him in an obit written by someone who died in 2018. Ellsberg warns, "we humans won't get through this nuclear era, this era of climate change without a lot more moral courage of the kind that is extremely rare and that Mike Ravel showed."

He has a Masters in Middle Eastern Studies from SOAS university and is an advisor to the website Declassified  which investigates the activities of the Ministry of Defence and British Intelligence Services.  He has spoken and performed on platforms from the Oxford Union to the Royal Albert Hall and Glastonbury. His latest album Soundtrack To The Struggle 2 featured Noam Chomsky, Frankie Boyle and Ken Loach and has been streamed millions of times. He produces and hosts his own weekly podcast for Mintpress and has interviewed US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, Roger Waters, Naom Chomsky, Naomi Klein, Ahed Tamimi, Ken Loach and Stella Moris (wife of Julian Assange).

Lowkey has become the target of a coordinated smear campaign to demonize, defame and deplatform him. Earlier this month, organised groups forced the University of Cambridge Palestine Solidarity Society to postpone his lecture and were able to stop his appearance at the National Union of Students in Liverpool. 

Now, a campaign by lobby group "We Believe in Israel" is demanding that his content be removed from music streaming service Spotify. This is unacceptable censorship.

The campaign against Lowkey is designed to silence Palestinians and their supporters. Anti-Palestinian censorship is now reaching into the artistic realm.

Schoenkopf, who is a Hillary Clinton supporter, was the only one not on the right wing to respond to the story and wound up issuing a bit of a rape apology. The same week that the Buzzfeed story came out, feminists were tweeting "believe women." But it wasn't in reference to Broaddrick. It was in reference to the women who had accused a New York comedian of raping them. Gabe talks about the rape controversy rocking the NYC comedy scene, Kurt Metzger and Amy Schumer.
