Katie already has major label interest and with up and coming gigs such as Katy B/Chase and Status support in May, it’s no wonder she currently has a lot of buzz surrounding her within the music industry.
Katie-Jayne is currently working on her album with some of the best UK producers, also collaborating with other UK artists all to be revealed very soon. Her debut EP will be released end of this summer, you can expect to hear some acoustic soul, up tempo pop/soul music and dreamy contemporary pop music. Katie-Jayne’s voice is a voice that will transcend time, with stunning vocals and her distinqtive tone. She has the ability to write beautiful heartfelt pop/soul music about love and life. Her first single ‘WHY WHY WHY’ was the first song she ever wrote and was written last year about a relationship she was in. There is no denying Katie-Jayne is a true talent and at the age of 19 (just turned) she has the whole world at her feet, coming from a musical theatre background where Elton John himself picked her for the original cast of 40 people for ‘ Billy Elliot’. For the last 6 months Katie-Jayne has been busy finding herself in music after getting told on plenty of occasions by family/friends that she really should step away from the musical theatre world and concentrate on her own music. So here she is now signing up to Downtown Artists on a promotional deal, you can expect to hear some great things for this new young talented artist from Essex in the future.
