I noticed you there from across the way and I thought, today might be the day acclimating me to an eased up point of view, but I stayed the same. 

I notice minuscule and terrible things. I notice corners and edges, abandon and pledges.

What’s with the secret smile? What’s with the hue of the off-white and tan in the tile all the thoughts in a pile. Call it anxiety but it’s a way of life for me.

Notice the points of view. How they intersect and protect the likes of me and you.

I notice corners and edges. Terrible, terrible things! Notice the way that your tone and your mood and your body sings.

What’s with the secrets? I’m mourning the moon and the tides in my memory. All the while I’ll smile. Call it anxiety but it’s a way of life for me.
