Polish-born and Edinburgh-based DJ, producer and event curator, ona:v is the founder of EPiKA and an integral figure in the Scottish techno scene. 

A scientist by day and a DJ by night, ona:v debuted on Edinburgh’s club circuit in 2019. Her imaginative sets earned her a loyal following across the UK. With a sound that spans techno and electro, ona:v channels older and lesser-known tracks throughout her DJ sets. 

ona:v has released her debut EP on Diffuse Reality Records in late 2022, with a few tracks coming out in 2023, and two EPs in the making!

Andrés OV es uno de esos artistas que necesitan poca introducción. Su extensa carrera en la noche madrileña habla por sí sola, desde su paso por algunas de las cabinas más míticas de la capital hasta el desarrollo de SYNTH Techno Club, una de las sesiones de referencia en el sonido underground de la ciudad.

Su compromiso y dedicación a un estilo ecléctico y contundente le ha permitido desarrollar un sonido único, bien nutrido por la experiencia y las constantes referencias a Bimingham, Detroit o Berlín. Uniendo ambientes oscuros con breaks y cambios de ritmo, Andrés ha dado con una receta infalible para deleitar a los oídos más exquisitos. 

Es un verdadero honor contar con él en el día de hoy para dar comienzo a esta nueva temporada de podcasts con una hora de vinilos en las que su técnica y delicadeza hablan por sí solas, desprendiendo sonidos magnéticos y percusivos como si de un grito de guerra se tratase, que clama una clara intención de alejarse de lo convencional y mirar hacia el futuro.

@dekeyden is no stranger to the underground scene, he’s a long standing musician passed true many aliases, performances and releases. Djing, producing and playing live for years, across different platforms, with a clean attitude, for pure underground Techno. This project sees the light at the end of 2019, making his debut on the iconic label Planet Rhythm, a 4 tracks Ep which attracts the attention of the scene. Followed by works for AWRY, Affekt Rec and EPM Music, that bring him to sign the first release for the relaunch of Molecular Recordings, after ten years of stop. His latest material has been published by Jeff Mills on his legendary Axis Records, for “The Escape Velocity”, a project focus on Sci-Fi aesthetic, that involved a restricted number of artists around the globe. Focus on a sinister, hypnotic and driving sound, his pieces can spanning from peak-time weapons, to deeper melancholic breakbeats and soundscapes. His tracks are constantly played by the most respected artists in the world, like Dave Clarke, DVS1, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, James Ruskin and many more. Same attitude in his live performances, powerful sets with 4 decks, a blend of personal material and other artists tracks that leads to an intense journey, trough lots of unpredictable paths.

DKA is proud to present Memorials by Rosa Damask, the post-punk project of Nastia Reigel from St. Petersburg, Russia. Rosa Damask serves as a project where Reigel can explore a more personal music and diverse influences that fall outside of her techno releases. With Rosa Damask, Reigel charts a darker territory employing slower rhythms, ethereal drones, and fuzzed out guitar. Memorials was recorded between 2018-2020 hot on the heels of a release on Hospital Productions, and the release serves as a diary of sorts, with each song telling a story or memory, all serving as a "Memorial" to events in Reigel’s life. 
Rosa Damask was heavily influenced by artists like Silent Servant and Regis (specifically Karl O'Connor's Sandra Plays Electronics project) but, to us here at DKA, Memorials sounds more like a cassette demo of early The Jesus & Mary Chain somehow overdubbed over a mangled old Vita Noctis tape, or if Kevin Shields were playing over Young Marble Giants’ splintered drum machine rhythms. Memorials may also be comparable to more modern artists such as Carla dal Forno or Tropic of Cancer, but Rosa Damask turns up the grit and intensity for a harsher take on this shadowy sound. 
The most striking thing about Memorials is that Reigel’s experiences on the dance floor still shine through the spring reverb drums, distorted guitars, and whispered yet confident vocals. We were floored when we first heard the genuinely haunting and beautiful sounds of Rosa Damask and knew it had to come out on DKA. As with all of our artists we are happy to welcome Rosa Damask to DKA and hope you enjoy this release as much as we do.

Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @liz-rivers for its eighty ninth episode of Amplify Series.

Liza Rivs is a Georgian-born DJ and producer who grew up in Paris. She’s a resident at the legendary Khidi club in Tbilisi, where she also heated up the Boiler room.
Liza shared stages worldwide with like-minded artists like Phase Fatale, Ancient Methods, Tommy 47, Surgeon and many more. Her sets are a playground for experimentation where she conflates different genres from the darker sides of electronic music, without compromising on a relentless drive. Her musical education as a classically trained guitar player transcends into her way of an intriguing musical narrative.
