Techno against racism:
Bretterbude DJs provide the bass for the international day against racism. Techno is diverse, and so are we.

With my new set I am trying to show how diverse techno / melodic techno is and that 115bpm can also go with 132bpm including anti-racist vocals.

Daniel Avery is a wonderful artist: whether he’s making beautiful ambient music with Alessandro Cortini or touring the states with Nine Inch Nails and Jesus & Mary Chain, or honouring Andrew Weatherall with the emotive Lone Swordsman tribute. From his debut release the massive "Drone Logic" to the impressive second album "A Song for Alpha”, his exploration of the space in which home listening and club music intersect. To then, the more recent lockdown album "Love & Light" which was a joy to behold...the boy can do no wrong!

Slam have been busy in the studio too and new music will keep dropping, including some really special collaborations which are waiting for dancefloors to re-open. @anthony-rother is a stone cold electronic music legend. He’s put out 20 albums since his debut in 1997, and run the Psi49net and Datapunk imprints, which have more or less defined the electro genre. Lately, he’s been back with a vengeance, releasing the “3L3C7RO COMMANDO” LP on his own label, as well as EPs for DVS1’s Mistress Recordings and of course Danny Daze’s Omnidisc. His DJ sets these days are comprised of his own unreleased music specifically tailored for dancefloors. Rother is a dream booking for The Bunker who we still kind of can’t believe is coming to play our collaborative party with Omnidisc on November 1 (more details at http://bit.ly/omnibunker ).

🗯🗯 Mit welchen Clubs / Kollektiven bist du verbunden und wie ist die Situation bei euch? 🗯🗯

Ich bin mit der Voll Schön Crew, der Rummels Bucht & dem Süss war gestern verbunden.
Alle versuchen das Beste aus der Situation zu machen und lassen den Kopf zum Glück noch nicht hängen. Es ist nun mal leider so wie es ist und man arrangiert sich bestmöglich damit.  Am Anfang gab es durch die Crowdfundingaktionen Unterstützung. Das Süss hat dann mit dem außer Haus Verkauf gestartet und darf nun langsam unter strengen Bedingungen mit Sitzplatzvergabe öffnen. Die Bucht hat den Biergarten richtig schön ausgebaut und verkauft seeehr leckere Pizza. Was aber allen aus der Branche fehlt ist eine Perspektive. Wann und unter welchen Bedingungen ist wieder was möglich? Es gibt immer noch keine klaren Aussagen dazu und dadurch kann niemand in die Zukunft planen. Ich bleibe aber positiv und hoffe, dass es nach und nach weiter voran geht!

Den Club Anderswelt gibt es bereits nicht mehr. Im Hamburger Gängeviertel sieht es ebenfalls nicht gut aus, irgendwann sind so Förderungen (wenn man sie denn bekommt) auch ausgeschöpft. Und die Möglichkeit wieder Veranstaltungen und Getränkeverkauf stinknormal machen zu dürfen ist noch ganz weit weg.
Das tut natürlich langfristig weh im Portemonnaie. Nicht nur für uns. Wir machen viele Soli-Parties normalerweise für „Ende Gelände“ oder die „Seawatch“. Diese Art der indirekten finanziellen Hilfe fällt nun auch dort weg, das ist tragisch!
Gesellschaftlich betrachtet funktionieren Kollektive einfach in live super und digital richtig schlecht. Man muss die Leute über Jitsi bei der Stange halten und den Mut und Optimismus nicht verlieren. Und das über einen langen Zeitraum.
