All songs were masterfully recorded by Paul Meredith in Shanghai, with percussion added by the wonderful Les Fong.

Most of these songs were heard for the first time by friends living in Qingdao, China, and the recording was made possible by their encouragement and support. This is dedicated with love to their children: Adelle, Andee, Carmela, Navid, Mona, Anis, Iman, and Lily.

Singer and guitarist - composing spiritually uplifting acoustic folk music. 

Katy's favorite memories include singing with her family in her living room as a child. Her parents played guitar, her grandmother played piano, and Katy and her brothers shook, rattled, or tapped any percussion instrument they could get their hands on. Her dad taught her how to play and gave her his guitar when she went to college. She never considered herself a songwriter, but always loved singing with other people.

At a time when she was exploring questions of spirituality and faith, a friend gave her a Baha'i prayerbook. Katy found herself holding a treasury of beautiful and inspiring words that could be put to music. Since then, she has often stayed up late into the night, suddenly inspired to create a melody for a passage from the Baha'i sacred writings. "These words have a rhythm and a power when you speak them out loud. They touch our hearts and uplift our spirits. And music can move us on a very deep level. It just seems natural that prayers and writings should be sung." Now her passion is to help communities use music at every opportunity to create joyful environments that foster spirituality and personal transformation.
