Refa might see it in different way. But for me, ‘Moonlight’ is still one of the most beautiful song he ever written. The words and melody are strangling each other. And the way he deliver it with layers of vocals and pianos successfully brings the depth of the story up to the surface.

Moonlight is like a gift that keep giving. The remix i made is more than appreciation to the song, a friendship.

alasan menyanyikan lagu ini berawal dari pertanyaan yang mengiang-ngiang di benak sore ini, “kapan kita akan selesai dengan diri?”

dan berakhir dengan teringat perkataan Ade Paloh dalam percakpannya dengan Mariati Galatio yang termuat di whiteboard journal,

“I have this fear of the afternoon, it is the time when us humans are defeated. It’s the time when every person is tired – even the sky bleeds in the afternoon.”

sore hari tadi, aku dan pertanyaan itu sama-sama mengambang. dan kata-kata Uchiha Itachi pada Kisame itu pun terbesit, 

“We aren’t fish, we are human. No matter who you are, you do not know what kind of human you are until the very end. As death comes to embrace you, you will realize what you are. That’s the view of death, don’t you think?”

dalam konteks ini, buatku Taifun bukanlah jawaban atau pernyataan yang memaksa untuk dituruti. tapi setidaknya ia bisa membuat ke-mengambang-an ini menjadi terasa lumrah, pun mungkin pantas dirayakan, juga disyukuri.
