DJ Lab Series 009 - Ölux

@moon_cat_nm from Paraguay has been introduced to music since she was little. From the age of 5 (2003) she had artistic approaches, beginning with tastes and practices as a dancer and with musical instruments. From that point on, she found her direction and direction until she reached louder sounds. Being a dance teacher she began to have that approach with the public by showing her art and transmitting her emotions through it. She then she began to listen and learn about alternative genres such as rock, punk, among others until she reached techno and its darker branches. Since 2017, she began to have the first approaches of her towards Deejay until finally launching in December 2020 as an artist in residence of Erotic Sentimentalism officially.

Based on a hypnotic style, Industrial, acid, rave and hardtechno she has released mixes that until now have remained hidden as a sample of her practice. In addition, she has a particular taste for expressive melodies with acid touches, especially if they are dark. "Angel face with hell music" is a characteristic reference to her.

"Møøncat emerges as a representation of someone who loves and conserves the light within the darkness, has a dark side that is not afraid to show. It is changing, dies and is reborn. It is always in constant evolution like the moon in its cycle, where It grows, it hides, but no matter what it is always shining in its own way. In addition to that is the symbolism of the cat, they associate their pupils with the different phases of the moon. "I identify with elegance and cat intuition, emotional energy, sensuality, mystery and instrumental harmony. "

She is currently a Resident of @eroticsentimentalism Collective / Records in Colombia as a Dj and model and Utopic collective, productions & agency in Paraguay.

As well as sharing with you the live recordings from our SPEED events, we have also created the SPEED Mix Series. This artist Invitation series will run irregularly throughout the year, with sporadic mixtapes from artists who we love and feel live and breathe the SPEED ethos and ideals. 

First up in this series, we have Bruno Wolfe. 

Bruno Wolfe is a Paraguayan artist, and is the founder of Cyberpunk Party, De_Konstrukt and the co-founder of U-Topic Productions. Active within his local scene since 2016, Bruno creates intense, emotional and aggressive dance music that can be heard and felt both within his own productions and his dynamic and transcendent DJ sets. 

With influences that break into alternative and urban culture like Punk, and Hip Hop, Bruno Wolfe’s sound and style can be described as eclectic, exciting, and highly enjoyable, mixing Techno, Trance, Rave, ghetto, EBM with all the musical oddities you can imagine.

Alvaro Duarte, a.k.a.  Django Coûte. Dj and future Paraguayan producer (22).  Born in Asunción, he was instilling his musical taste through the retro, rock, metal, jazz, euro dance, house and techno genres of the 90s at a young age through his parents.

Little by little, he realised that music is a passion for him and since then he had the thought of wanting to transmit all that feeling to the whole world.

In 2015, he had the opportunity to delve deeper into a long musical library of the electronic genre, and then in 2017/2019 to go deeper into Techno knowing all its branches.  At the end of 2019, he became more interested in musical mixing, wanting to give people the discovery of the new sounds that he acquired years ago.  In 2020 he joined the Utopic Dj Lab, having Bruno Wølf as a mentor and thus making his debut before ending that same year, as a resident DJ of the Equinox party cycle.

The meaning of his name is based on the Belgian jazz musician Django Reinhardt, having a deeper meaning for him being "Django Coûte" translating as "The cost of dawn" or "Dawn costs". His style is more characterised by being strong and energetic, always maintaining high bpms and that the rave never stops. He is venturing into a wide variety of styles such as Hard Techno, Industrial, Acid Core, Trance old/new skool, among others.

Paraguayan artist; founder of the cyberpunk party De_Konstrukt and co-founder of U-Topic productions. He’s been active in his local scene since 2016. He currently has residency in Equinox, Orange and Techrapia party cycles.
Intensity, emotion and aggressiveness can be words to describe his sound, both in his DJ sets and in his productions, always guided by his intuition and focused on the dancefloor.
Influenced by the alternative and futuristic; his style remains eclectic, fast-paced and not limited to one genre.
