We can fake all we want through social media but at the end of the day we have to remember who we really are and what makes us, us.

From the moment I created the beat I knew I wanted it to be kind of a summer, dance vibe but with a stronger message as contrast. "Be heartless, be depressed" are the first words that came to my mind so I just went on with it and kept creating the song around that idea, with a bridge where I want people to escape in a vibe and really understand the message.

Kay Cassendo is a Haitian artist who has always had a passion for music. Singing was a hobby since the age of 5, but she discovered her beat making skills in 2017. Beat maker, song writer and singer, but also a contemporary dancer, Kay Cassendo is influenced by artists such as Bjork, Grimes, Timbaland, Pharrell, James Blake, Aaliyah, Michael Jackson, Philip Glass and Max Richter. Some of her pieces were compared to those of The Weeknd and Daft Punk. Her influences as well as her African and Latin roots are noticeable in her work, which makes her style a unique and polyvalent art.
