Arnav’s journey led him deeper into dense jungles, where towering trees intertwined their branches high above, forming a mysterious canopy. The further the boy ventured, the less sunlight filtered through the thick foliage. The jungle grew darker and more enigmatic, and the sounds of nature, once friendly and cheerful, now echoed in his heart with unease.

Suddenly, heavy clouds gathered above the treetops, shrouding the sky in deep darkness. Soon, the first claps of thunder rang out, and the jungle trembled under the force of strong winds heralding a storm. Cold rain poured down in torrents, driving the boy to seek shelter.

Arnav dashed beneath the dense leaves of a giant tree, huddling in fear. He felt small and helpless before the mighty forces of nature. Trembling, he began to doubt whether he could continue his journey at all.

At that moment, as if in response to his fear, Arnav heard a faint, desperate squeak nearby. Cautiously peeking from his shelter, he spotted a small langur trapped in a snare of tangled vines — its tiny paw caught and unable to break free.

Arnav froze in hesitation. Fear gripped him — the storm intensified, and the wind and thunder seemed to shout at him to stay put.

“I’m too small,” he thought. “If I try to help, I might get hurt myself!”

But his heart spoke differently, filling him with compassion and concern for the helpless creature.

“What should I do?” Arnav whispered.

“Follow what your heart tells you,” came a deep, steady voice from behind.

On November 3rd Desert Trax presents Ayahuasca Remixed from Brazilian-born artist Poranguí Carvalho McGrew, translated and remixed through the lenses of visionary producers like Shamans Dream,AtYyA, Drumspyder, Kaminanda,Liquid Bloom, Numatik, Yaima, and many others. These 11 tracks were born from a prayer to bridge worlds from the consciousness of the master plant medicine onto the dance floor. It came to life through the meeting and friendship with musician and producer Sahuna Love (Shaman's Dream), and blossomed with the help of Amani Friend (Desert Dwellers & Desert Trax). Each song weaves the medicine of the original, while beckoning listeners to explore and express their prayers or meditations through embodied movement. Having pinned to perfection the sonics of the Adriatic, Croatia’s Love International Festival bottles up their blissed out rhythms and sunrise sessions for the inauguration of Love International Recordings, fittingly, with a first release from UK producer Begin.  Bringing the Love International feel to wax and digital, the label will encapsulate the range of music the festival’s secluded party paradise has become renowned for. All the way from the balearic tinges of this first release, to the meatier house, techno and electro selections on show at Barbarellas.  Begin aka James Holroyd has a long history with Love International. Dating back to the early 2000s, Holroyd was one of the first guest DJs at the old Garden festival on the former festival site in Petrčane. Long serving Chemical Brothers tour DJ, Back to Basics resident since the 90's and Bugged Out co founder, Begin has long paid his paid his dues to the scene. In the words of Dave Harvey: “he’s been an absolute workhorse in dance music for time”.  Love International 001's tracks seemingly fit the festivals own daily lifecycle. From the docile guitar picking of meditative EP opener ‘Wood Trees’ to the slow daybreak funk of ‘Daypulse’ where synths pierce through the track like sun rays through the Adriatic dusk, the EP is a holistic reflection of what one might hear at one of the festival’s fabled sunrise sessions. ‘Garden Interlude’ ushers in a fresh burst of energy, with the revitalizing sounds of piano house, paired with warming neo soul vocals. ‘Into The Fun’ is a self fulfilling prophecy, closing the EP on a quintessentially balearic note.

Irish talent Jay FM adds another chapter to his growing musical contribution to our stable, courtesy of a glorious deep house EP. His intricate offerings always reach great emotional depths. His latest, the "Timeless" EP, is no exception, as it offers a textured backdrop to a pensive spring walk. 

The gush of a gong signals the beginning of "Timeless" and is soon followed by a pumping bass. Delicate percussive hits join the fray, just as a breakdown sheds these layers, offering a few fleeting moments of a truly blissful soundscape. The returning bass offers an energetic groove that is balanced by sweeping chords and soft vocals, allowing us to lay back and experience the lush and romantic composition unfold. 

In "Come," airy vocals swirl behind the main melodic motifs of the track, which includes an impressionistic piano score; the vocals retain the subtlety of a deep exhale, carrying a sweeping array of emotions as they gently repeat "come." As the song progresses, the piano melodies reverberate with the sensual coolness of an evening breeze. Gently pulsating percussion emulates the consistent beat of a heart, giving life to this timeless composition.
