Grooving became a natural form of expression for kayḆe, growing up as a dancer on the east coast of rural Australia. This early connection to movement and music laid the foundation for her cinematic sound, intended to provoke introspection and energetic connection.

kayḆe blends a range of eclectic production styles, shifting in tempo to master the mood of the dance floor. Often gravitating towards deep, dark baselines, she aims to seduce the mind through extended transitions laced with psychedelic rhythms and rolling groove.

The light and shade heard in her sets reflect life's realities and her personal experiences. Through her music, kayḆe hopes to create a space where like minded listeners can connect with their inner selves and the world around them. As you listen, let the music open your mind to the magic and mystery of life.

✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background? 
My musical influences are deeply rooted in my childhood, where I grew up as a dancer in Australia from the age of 5. This early connection between movement and music shaped my intuitive understanding of rhythm and flow. My upbringing in a family of deep music enthusiasts also played a significant role. 
As I grew older, this expanded into the electronic vortex, inspired initially by Zigan Aldi who led me to develop a fascination for intricate subgenres that challenge categorisation.  Moving to London five years ago was what can only be described as a rebirth, exposing me to the vibrant underground scene. By 2021, after years of being a dancefloor veteran I began channeling my passion into DJing. For me, it became a therapeutic practice of self expression and creative freedom that I have become completely addicted to. 

✔️ What makes good “afterhour”? 
For me personally, a good after hour is like stepping into a parallel universe. It’s a space where time slows and the music speaks directly to the soul. It runs much deeper than the peak time energy, offering a chance to guide the dance floor on an intimate journey through more experimental sounds. 
I’m drawn to dark, rolling basslines layered with psychedelic rhythms and hypnotic melodies that unlock the mind and create a collective experience where ravers feel connected on a deeper level.  At its best, an after hour feels like diving headfirst into the rabbit hole. It’s raw, personal, and immersive - my sweet spot where the true essence of underground culture comes alive.

✔️ What was your experience of the set you recorded? 
This set was recorded at a special, community driven event in London for Calypso, held in an intimate secret location that turned out to be Folklore. The venue was incredible - stunning psychedelic decor, warm lighting, creating an energy that made everything feel alive. It was the kind of place where all of your senses are heightened, and you can’t help but be completely present in the moment.
I was playing in support of Queen Britta Arnold. It gave me the freedom to lean fully into my after hour vibe and bring a bit of that Berlin energy to London. That kind of deep, trippy sound isn’t something you often get to explore here, so I just went for it.
Honestly, this was one of my favourite sets that I’ve played., showcasing music from some of my favourite producers that I deeply respect - they drive my passion.  It felt completely natural, like I wasn’t overthinking or holding back; I was just playing the music that resonates with me the most right now and felt super connected to the crowd. Everything about the night, from the people to the setting, made it feel raw, real and interconnected.

❖ Recorded under the pull of the Full Worm Moon, 
kayḆe pressed record in a dimly lit whiskey bar on the wrong side of midnight..the kind of place where the air is thick with smoke, secrets, and the slow burn of something unknown. 

❖ It moves with the moon’s gravitational pull - seductive, hypnotic, and just a little on edge. Downtempo psychedelia seeps through the cracks, down-pitched deep tech coils around flickering candlelight, whilst rolling grooves build beneath the surface, slowly pulling people to their feet in an unspoken, instinctive sway. 

❖ A set for the moments when the night stretches on, and reality feels just a little out of reach..

Deep connection with music emerged as an instinctive means of expression for kayḆe growing up as a dancer in Australia. This early bond between movement and music set the foundation for her cinematic sound & intuitive understanding of rhythm and flow.

kayḆe refers to her signature style as 𝓉𝓌𝒾𝓈𝓉𝑒𝒹 𝒻𝒶𝓃𝓉𝒶𝓈𝓎; blending deep rolling baselines with psychedelic rhythms, and darker-hypnotic melodies intended to make your mind travel...Often shifting tempo to master the mood of the dance floor, she explores the depths of downtempo, psy-tech, minimalistic deep-tech & world electronica. 

As co-founder of the şanctuary śessions collective alongside her twin sister, their aim is to curate unique musical experiences that introduce artistic diversity to UK dance floors. Sanctuary advocates for artistic freedom whilst shining a light on raw underground talent, both from their global artist collective, and gems within the scene that have inspired their musical journey to date..🌘
