So this is the recording of my twitch stream from Friday the 20th of August 2021.  This session was full of Techno raging from the progressive chill right through to some tuff deep tracks. My Set From Prismatic Festival in Regional Victoria in January 2022.  Was the first time playing for this Crew ( The Other Crew )and what a great job they did.  I played 2nd last set of the Festival on the Sunday at 1:30pm.  The Sun was out people were getting their last dance in for the weekend.  it was amazing.  so please enjoy this set as much as i did playing it.

This is a bit different to what you would normally expect from me but what i normally play would be to full power for an opening set.  So please enjoy the lusciousness of this set to set the vibe for the day.  Some older classic tracks in here with i nice flow through out the set.

Here it is guys.  My Set From The Chill Island at Esoteric Festival this year.  I love playing in this space as it gives me a chance to play the pulled back tempo style of melodic progressive deep house and techno with a bit of breaks in the middle.  this year i was fortunate to get an extended set to help out a fellow Dj who was playing before me.  this enable me to take you through a longer journey with a nice rise in the music into some deeper tunes then back out to finish upo with a piano Score. i loved it.

So by Popular Demand here is my Drum & Bass set From Circle Of Life Festival back IN January.  I wasn't originally going to put this out as it was a totally different set than what i had planned to play.  I originally was going to play a full Liquid set but after telling a good mate that this will probably be the last D&B set i play out for the foreseeable future ( unless my arm gets Twisted to do it again) He told me to just let the music take its own path.  And this is what the music told me to do.  So I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I did playing it.  Probably the most fun I've ever had playing D&B.  No pressure to fit a certain Genre or time Slot, just a bunch of fun tunes and an electric vibe from the dance floor.

Esoteric Festival Chill Island Thursday Sunset 2025

While I was playing we all got the unfortunate news of the Cancelation of Esoteric 2025.  So shattering But we made the most of what we could and I was fortunate to be able to continue playing to the crew onsite.  Due to this I played an extended set than my original set time allocation.  This was going to be an exciting set for me as Sunset Is a set I have always wanted to play at the Chill Island, and this year I got it. Its Not what I had originally planned to play but due to the news I switched it up as I went to Create a vibe that was a reflection of how we were all feeling. So please enjoy the music I selected for this very emotional set. I grabbed some older tunes that I had previously played to close out my set. Hope you can feel the vibe that I tried to create due to the heart breaking news of the cancelation.  We love Esoteric

So this is my set from the Epic Sun Temple at Esoteric Festival 10 am Monday morning. To open a stage for the day of this calibre was such a special moment for me.  I've tried to take you on a journey through my love of progressive psy, starts off easy then gets a bit tougher, and some luscious moments in the middle to bring it all home with the tribal sound i love.  I hope this mix helps you relive the morning that you all shared with me.  for those of you who weren't there i hope you enjoy this mix as much as i did playing it.

What Would The Penguins Do???

I know the title is funny but i've always imagined what penguins would do if the were cruising around the world in  convertible listening to good  music.  Well here is my concept of what they would be listening to.  Its a journey through the Progressive House / Techno realm of music.  Its long form mixing so these tapes will go for approx 2.5 hours, taking you on the "Journey" with the penguins as they cruise around.  So Enjoy Volume 1 and let the ride begin

Keaton Horan aka Kay-Cee Has been Djing for almost half his life. Starting out in Melbourne’s well renowned club scene playing and working for clubs such as 3D, Hard Kandy, Hardware Ent, PHD and Pharmacy. Throughout these formative years he fell in love with the music and everything that came with it. Playing on the same bill of some of the biggest names at the time including Scott Project, Yoji Biomehanica, Alex Kidd and the Organ Donors to name a few.

Although Being a DJ in the rave scene and playing Hard Trance weekly, His love of all music genres has always been there. Ranging from Techno, Progressive house, Chill, Electronica, Drum and Bass and Psytrance, he has always mixed a wide range of music for his own enjoyment as well as performing. He was 1/2 of Melbourne's Electro duo Called “The Undergraduates”, where they played for Hard Kandy, Pyrotechnics, HSD and Earthcore.

Come the end of the rave era for Keaton was around 2011 and he shifted into playing Drum and Bass under the name Cadron Hollider and Progressive Psytrance under Kay-Cee. Playing gigs for The Brink, Snake Pit Sound, Bellbird Crescent, Esoteric Festival to name a few, with highlights of following The Freestylers on the main stage at Earthcore, opening for The Stanton Warriors at RMH and playing the opening Mad Monday set on the ever amazing Sun Temple stage at Esoteric. Including playing on the same stages as Raja Ram, Vini Vici, Morten Granau, Berg, Zyce, Capital Monkey, Timelock and many more.

Currently his Djing is all about Progressive Psytrance and Progressive House / Downtempo. He is a big believer of the Journey Set. Taking the dance floor through different emotions and building a set that takes you on a trip is important to his beliefs in performing.

 Influenced from the likes of JOOF, Emok, Phaxe, Morten Granau, Boris Brejcha, Matador, Ben Bohmer, Einmusik, Jonas Saalbach and more.Supporting tracks from his favorite Labels such as Anjunabeats, Einmusika Recordings, Iboga, Ibogtech, Blue Tunes, Kay-Cee really enjoys transitioning between playing different genres and in his sets tries to create the journey he strives to achieve with his music.

Being a Doofer since the early 2000’s the outdoor setting is where he thrives. The joy of playing outside amongst nature is his favourite. “The Doof Culture and Vibe is where I most enjoy being, not only as a DJ but as a fellow punter. I really feel at home”
