Madonna - La Isla Bonita (Shigeki Tropical Island Remix)

Hot on the heels of the previous Synthwave release, Volume 5 explores another close cousin, Italo. While this edition employs the classic tools in the Italo sound; arpeggiated riffs, 16th note basslines, vocoded vocals and heavy reliance on synth sounds, it deviates from the happy vibes that is usually associated with Italo Disco or House. A darker and grittier interpretation of the genre, the tracks are definitely geared for the dancefloor, and feel right at home in a House or Techno set.
