this was the second song that i wrote for Heritage which helped me decide if i was even making a project. it was originally made to see how far i could stretch this new sound that i stumbled upon, and it ended up becoming a song about my innate curiosity i've had my entire life. When i heard Apollo's vocal i felt it just added another layer of emotion to the song and took it to a whole other level aesthetically. he killed it.

this was the last song i wrote for Heritage which came about when i was in the US for recording school. my roommate left his speaker in our cabin and went home for the weekend so sat and made tunes. this one came almost completely out of the blue in my mind. the original demo is called "3am" because it was already pretty late when i started working and i just knew i'd be up all night workin. i wrote this song about my energetic side for those times i really just dgaf and wanna wyle out. shoutout to genom for helping me capture that.

i originally wrote this song about the feeling of knowing someone, but knowing that there's more to them than they let on..not in a good way, and the feeling when you're not surprised when they show who they really are. after a long conversation with Silkin about our family struggles, we thought to pivot the idea to write about a family member of ours and express how we each felt they could be better than they think they're capable of.

oil & water began as an idea of mine originally trying to produce a certain kind of style, but after a while the song kinda lead the way. Billie-Rae jumped in, telling the story of love and loss— "knowing you want to be with someone but parting because you know in your heart it could never work."
