"I wrote this beat in the middle of quarantine at a point where things felt really frozen in time. At that point there was really no hope of anything coming back yet. I felt pretty stuck with writing stuff to play out at this point with no shows to play. I started to focus some more time on writing beats and things more focused on being vocally driven. The idea of this song is that even though you're awake and life is moving, sometimes you can feel asleep inside and going through the motions.
