This song is performed on a acoustic guitar. Written with special people in my life that faded away. This song practically wrote itself, usually what happens when played with the guidance of your heart.


Never Was

Kaz was influenced by many but his top 3 influences were Randy Rhoads, David Gilmore and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He started playing at the age of 16 . Originally wanting to be a drummer. One day he picked up his friends guitar at their rehearsal and immediately fell in love with the instrument. The way it felt and the sound it produced through the amp made such an impact he never looked back and has dedicated his love and time to the guitar ever since. 

   In 2008 he went on to win the Best Instrumental in the country category at the Kodak theatre in Hollywood. Going against the main stream of leading genres, he still went on to compete in the  growing instrumental category.

   In 2009 Kaz teamed up with Nidal Mahmoud to perform together as Imperious Rex. This speed driven thrash metal band from Long Beach went on to tour Europe and support Metal legends Destruction. Then went on to release their album "Metal Damage". 

   After Metal Damage was released the hunger for expanding their musical horizons grew and the search begun for a fresh new project. The need to expand their audiences influenced their change in style. Joining forces with the right artists was now going to dictate their future sound. After months of trial and error, Kaz and Nidal finally started their collaboration with current partners Dj Pearlman and Anthony DiPaola. Now known as Revel9.com

   Somewhere between the catchy melodies of pop and the aggression of metal can be found the realm of today’s hard rock. REVEL 9 takes great care to blend the best from those two fan-heavy genres, and with that care, the band continues to deliver the hard-hitting, insightful and intense music that has solidified them as a staple in the Northeastern Hard Rock scene.  Fans of bands like Chevelle, Deftones, A Perfect Circle and Three Days Grace really have a lot to find in REVEL 9. At this current time Revel 9 is working on preproduction for their upcoming 3rd album.
