Organic DJ set 102-110 BPM
I wanted a pseudonym, other than Just Beef, to capture the energy of this project. Chasmophytes are plants that find homes in the cracks in rocks. I learned this term when researching tillandsia sp. of which there are many species in Latin America. You see these green "squids" growing out of cracks on the limestone big walls of Nuevo Leon, MX. You may know tillandsia by the name “air plant". This project draws inspiration from these ecosystems and the people that inhabit them. This became a possibility when Pats (https://soundcloud.com/patsmx) let me hop on and play a deep and down set at a party in El Salto at Crag Ground; I threw in a track or two from his set leading up to this as an homage.
