Created in summer 2015 because I was so happy, and just learning to record songs for the first time even though I've had a guitar some 15 years but never really learned to play it. The creative process of the song started from the phrase "I feel I'm gonna have to say Jee Jee!" playing in my head. This was supposed to have vocals and be a light and poppy song. But it became so heavy because I've been such a metal person so long time. I might make a sequel someday and try to recapture the original idea better. But this is good too!

Jee Jee Song

St. Thomas mass outdoors at Ilkko, Kangasala in midsummer 2015. Was a nice day with good weather and good friends. Timo played bass there and we thought he was good. I probably got some inspiration there. I had just couple of days ago gotten my first bass myself but not had any time to try it out. After coming home from Kangasala I started playing some nonsense with my new bass, and record something improvised weirdness with guitar and keyboards as well, and came up with a noisy song draft that seemed to have one good melody (the keyboard theme.) A bit later I took that melody and created this better song out of it. The spoken parts are from the sermon that was held in the mass (it was later on radio and I taped it.) The song was recorded in a couple of days, it just happened, it just flowed, and I was surprised how easy it came, and was my best song so far at that moment. It helps me to always remember that one special summerday.

Started as a cover to Tarvo Laakso's "Tervetuloo punkkiluostariin" but became something a bit different. Maybe it's a sequel! Spoken samples are from the movies "Sister Act" and "Francis of Assisi".  Dedicated to Tarvo, Francis, Clara, and Whoopi Goldberg!

I was listening to Joe Satriani and got an urge to make a rocking driving song like his "Motorcycle Driver" and because my version would surely be a thousand times more crappy I would entitle it "Jopo Driver"! (Jopo is a bit funny Finnish bicycle.) I worked on this about a year because I was so lousy guitar player, but I improved a lot when making this. (I'm too lazy to practice playing just for the practice - so I rather compose songs and then learn to play them!)

I write songs all the time and record them by myself. This project started around 2015 when I had had a guitar for some 15 years but never managed to record the songs I wrote. So I cecided to start trying to record something. All music here is recorded at home. Only few neighbours were offended... but it annoys me to hold back, so I'm looking forward to get some other place to record and perhaps bandmates as well. (2021: Project being a bit dormant lately but it is my life mission to make music, so will be back eventually.)
