Having consistently played the most illustrious, largest clubs and festivals right across the world, in January Perc took the challenge of taking his diverse sound to The DBA, an old school, traditional British pub turned underground rave space over on Cheetham Hill Road in Manchester, with a 3 hour closing of The Lounge.

This was what happened, with a few words from Ali himself:

"The January event was my first time playing at The DBA in Manchester, but I had heard from a few DJ friends that it was a mad place to play.


My plan was to start with quite a house party / afterparty type of vibe (like the DJ Sandy track at 35 mins) and then see where the crowd wanted to go from there. 


The start of the set is filled with a lot of layering. Riffs and vocals like the DJ Funk (RIP) cuts at 11 mins layered over drum loops from other tracks. This seemed to keep the energy level building and then I could slowly bring the bigger riffs and hooks and some harder acid tracks as the set got a little tougher and faster.


After that it was just a case of seeing how far I could take the crowd and how far they would take me. I remember a lot of cheers, people charging forwards when certain tracks dropped and some attempts to dance on tables." - PERC

Seems like the natural progression in todays climate for a successful artist to launch their own Record Label. With the year that Pig&Dan have been enjoying, it seems like to perfect moment for them to introduce, ONOLOG. 2011 has been a naturally hectic year for the duo. Release and remixes for the likes of Parquet, Traum and Terminal M have impressed, whilst the summer also saw the release of "Then & Now", Pig&Dan's new artist album on Yoshitoshi. The double disc release saw the boys present an array of new material backed by a revisit to some of their classic remixes. Revisiting is the order of the day on ONOLOG 001, as the boys kick things off in style and invite some of their closest friends and favourite producers to present their own visions of Pig&Dan's work. A impressive package of names it is too, and leading from the front is Herzblut boss Stephan Bodzin who turns in an epic rework of "Love Song." Also remixing "Love Song", Uruguay's Gustavo Bravetti brings the bounce and emotive breakdown, whilst Sweden's techno don Samuel L Session excites with a touch of acidic and atmospheric techno. Greek producer Mihalis Safras continues his impressive 2011 with a funky-tech revision of "Hooked" and closing the package are the MiniCoolBoyz who unleash their rage on "La Teta." A vast selection of mixes and a impressive debut from ONOLOG!

My journey into music started completely by accident.
One day, my friend introduced me to FL Studio, which is a music creation program.
We were just having fun with friends, making beats and uploading them to SoundCloud. That was about it at the time. 
Later on I had a great desire to write music professionally and I began to spend all my time on it. 
At that time, all my knowledge about electronic music came down to listening to artists such as: Avicii, David Guetta, Tiesto, Bob Sinclar.
Basically everyone that was on MTV in those days. 
I never thought I would start writing electronic music myself, but I was wrong.
With time I started to listen to more underground music and got attracted to such artists as Solomun, Tale of Us, Carl Cox, HOSH, Artbat,    
Anfisa letyago, Boris Brejcha, Charlotte de Witte, Nina Kraviz, Paul Kalkbrenner. 
and that list was growing every day. 
These people had a major influence on the kind of music I started making and I quickly got involved. I started practicing almost every day and some of my music started appeared on small labels. 
My goal is to keep doing what I love and hone my craft for as long as I can. 
I truly believe you can feel everything I want to say to the world in my music.
