Any producer worth his weight understands that his art is all about the heart. However, it goes beyond just reaching the hearts of his listeners. It’s really about constructing a beat to be the heart within the speaker. It’s about placing that same heart deep beneath the dance floor. See the beat is music’s heart rhythmically thumping. It’s a sign of life that a voice can seldom sustain on its own. Hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, Aaron “K Bangaz” Carlisle started out as a rapper, but fell to the lure of being a producer, architecting beats for a variety of artists. From the start, he’s always been drawn to the artists of the highest pedigree. As a rapper, K Bangaz was heavily influenced by the likes of Jay-Z and Nas. As a producer, he drew early inspiration from Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Swizz Beats and the Neptunes. Not a fan of being defined or confined to one specific genre, K Bangaz ambitions extend into broader commercial as well as film scores given his previous academic and professional experiences. Although a Midwest-bred talent, his sound architecture borrows from many sounds and countries across the world. With this openness to all things sound, he hopes to evolve producing into a more organic and less formulaic art form. Through being one of Towerline Records in-house, K Bangaz aspires to leave his footprint in the world of music, by first capturing the heart, through the beat.
