The song is an uplifting dance music ballad whose aim is to emphasize the significance of our inner demons (signifying our past life events) who regularly affect our decisions effectively stopping us from progressing our goals and dreams. The demons arrive as anxiety, uncertainty and depression. Their activity might be short-term, but the results affect our whole lives, leaving us wondering what could have happened if circumstances had been different, leading to permanent regretfulness.
