in the spirit of All Hallow's Eve and Día de Muertos an offering of sorts. a little round of "have you seen the ghost of john" in four voices.  ezra buchla, trent gill, brian crabtree and I hope that you and your dead are alive and well.

a channel. a sound. an inlet. a turning point. a narrow passage of water connecting two larger bodies of water. 

or maybe just a sketch using the live sampling of a ukelele and an accordion with mlrv and a monome 128.

this is a first go at using monome_sum with a variable brightness 128. thought i'd record the results and share the amazing possibilities of this soon to be released software. i'm basically able to switch between simplified versions of flin, polygome, mlr, corners, and step. sounds are created using only the built in synthesizer and provided samples. my mind is a little blown. 

perhaps something more refined in the coming days, but for now...

a satellite, an outpost, an instrument in synchronous rotation with the earth. a watcher, a traveler, an extraterrestrial deity employed by hidden forces. mother culture brought from the skies. messages sent and received by way of interplanetary reverberations. all an attempt to please the celestial deities of weather and harvest with musical charms.
