This music was originally composed on a Commodore 64 in 1986/1987 using the sound programmer and sequencer Soundmonitor by Chris Hülsbeck. Unfortunately the original C64 SID files are lost. These are analogue recordings from 1987, which were recorded digitally in 2013 and converted to mp3. These five songs are extracts from the "long play disc" Bit On Bit from 1987, with Far From Earth and Tunnel Of Time being remixes of the original album tracks. I plan to release further tracks. So until then, enjoy these five extracts.

kcb64 is the name of the project to re-release Bit On Bit, an album or "long play disc" written and conceived on a Commodore 64 in the years 1986/1987 using the tool Soundmonitor by Chris Hülsbeck. Lacking great and easy-to-use means of digital communication like the internet today back then, Bit On Bit never got way more attentionen than being given to friends on disc or a cassette recording. Unfortunately, the original SID files are lost - who would have thought back then than you good perfectly emulate a C64 on a PC or even a telephone? So all that's left are these analogue recordings, luckily of quiet acceptable quality.

Bit On Bit includes 13 original album tracks plus 2 remixes and 2 bonus tracks. kcb64 is proud to release five extracts as "Bit On Bit EP". More tracks may be released in the future. Until then, enjoy what's there.
