Løuise - Holding The Quiet's Hand

FRG: An Irish based DJ in Liverpool specialising in hard techno and acid, taking influence from acts such as TRYM, Sholmo and Rebekah. He's recently began to venture onto the hardcore side of the scene with a growing love for gabber, frenchcore and reverse bass. As co-founder of Liverpool based event label P:olymatrix he hopes to grow a name for himself both locally and beyond. This track is FRG's debut single and we are honoured to share it with you all, hope you enjoy.

MOTZ Premiere: Industrial Romantico - Trip To New York

Bajo la enigmática máscara de Nikki Powell, se oculta Nicolás Montoya, un técnico sonidista licenciado, DJ y productor musical. Sumergido en un universo de sombras y sonidos, sus preferencias musicales se adentran en las profundidades del Trance progresivo, Groove Techno, Hardtechno y hardstyle, así como otros estilos oscuros y envolventes.

Sus primeros pasos en el abismo de la música electrónica comenzaron en 2010, grabando sets para su propio deleite, lejos de los oídos comunes, que no lograban captar la esencia de sus melodías. Avanzando en solitario, en 2015 integró la producción musical a su arsenal, y en 2016 se reveló ante el público por primera vez en la discoteca Malena, en el barrio Bellavista de Santiago, donde comenzó a forjar sus destrezas en el Tech House.

Para el 2019, Nikki Powell emergió en Talca, presentándose en el Club Magdalena. Junto a aliados de la escena underground talquina como Angry Kid y Anticonfianza, creó eventos clandestinos que destilaron las vibraciones del Techno industrial, hard trance y uplifting trance. 

En 2020, se consolidaron en la discoteca Lovip de Talca, captando la atención de la ciudad. El 2021 lo encontró en el Club Ambar (Microclub Santiago) bajo la bandera de Techno Radar. Durante la pandemia, canalizó la soledad creativa para dar vida a su primer EP titulado "Nébula", disponible en múltiples plataformas musicales.

El año 2022 marcó su aparición en el festival Verbena Popular Arte Pasión en Curicó. Junto a un círculo de aliados, fundó el colectivo “nnnn.Colectivo”, desde donde desveló los primeros vestigios de su segundo EP "Ghost". También se presentó en la nueva extensión de Microclub en Talca, teloneando a DJ Selecta.

En 2023, en complicidad con Transistor Kollective (la evolución de nnnn.Colectivo, ahora Conection Colective), realizó dos presentaciones rave en Talca. Ese junio, se presentó tres veces en la Fiesta Nobi. Actualmente, Nikki Powell orquesta su tercer EP musical bajo su propia gestión, creando tracks en formato mashup, edit y adaptaciones en SoundCloud, perpetuando su legado sonoro en las plataformas digitales.
