I wished they would have focused more on Chappie developing...I think it would have been a much better movie if it wasn't trying to have two or three movies in one.  I still think it's worth seeing though, even if you just rent it.

Well.... kinda, but after awhile you get familiar with Japanese anime voice acting after you watch enough, so can kinda tell

They actually didn't use any motion capture on Chappie, it was all done with key frame animation using shartlo Copley as a reference.  FX guide did an interview with the fx supervisor.  http://www.fxguide.com/fxpodcasts/fxpodcast-290-chappie/

As I listen to more and more reviews dissing movies for not having better/more developed characters I'm starting to think that movies like this  are going to die off. It's an action sci-fi , emphasis is on the action. It's so many different ideas being put together in only 2hours of film time. I think with the birth of tv shows which can expound an idea to its fullest extent over 200+ hours movies will seem too short and under developed more and more. It's everything we loved about 80-90s movies yet now everyone's saying it's not enough...

Its a rental, remember Johnny 5? Same movie but more violent.
