its cause the people who are making these star trek films dont get star trek. its NOT about fighting or comedy or action. its about EXPLORERS. they are EXPLORERS not warriors, PEACEMAKERS and DEMOCRATS. a star trek film should be like a great episode of game of thrones or a season of game of thrones. no fighting at all or one epic battle at the end. its about the science, knowledge, intelligent CONVERSATIONS, etc etc. its why trek is far superior to crap wars and why its not as big cause most humans arent about peace nor are they intelligent. discovery has founda  happy medium between the two, appeal for the mass market but staying true to the heart of trek
