I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but watching you mix this beautiful song and seeing the enjoyment you're getting out of it was honestly really touching. I love mixing, and getting a good mix just feels so nice and fulfilling, especially when you follow your instincts and do thoughtful things that have an impact you notice. It sounds super nerdy but I don't care cause I love it!

You actually can get a good mix using headphones, with some prerequisites. Before you throw on your cans, you must understand your headphones and how they will respond. Secondly, don't crank up the volume because your mix in the end will not translate at normal listening levels. And finally, be aware of the ambient volume in the room. Too loud environment will make it deficult to mix. However, headphones are great when everyone in your house is asleep and you don't want to wake them up.

Mixing and mastering is hell for my entire life of making music. :(

The 6th Machine

Purified was a track off of SRP_EP3.
It was one of my favorites on the album, the problem was that it was overly distorted. This was caused by a bass that I could not hear the overbearing distortion on it during the creation, Since I was living in an apartment at the time, all mixing and mastering was done with berhdynamics headphones, having monitors now made a big difference.
