You know, I just fired up my old HUGH Marantz stereo amplifier and turntable and I played back a couple of rap 12 inch vinyl records from the 90's that I kept from when I was a kid...Now, I'm sitting here wondering, why does this sonically sound better (AT LEAST TO MY EARS) than the plugin

Quick question: is anyone of y’all ever low cutting base & bass like let’s say @ 30-80 Hz per default?

While it’s true that the sausage shaped synth bass tone appears to be completely hard limited and doesn’t need compression. If you’re making super dense EDM, you can STILL get a fatter sound using multiband or OTT (up/down compression) to further squash between frequencies that have varied dynamic range rather than looking at the overall peak volume.

Simply amazing how analog boards sounds. It has a life of its own.

Any adda suggestions? I’ve owned a bunch of 500 series but still using my Focusrite Scarlett interface😿
