I learned so much about mixing and mastering, so how about the idea of doing a complete masterclass video/stream, where you explain your work on a specific song and give feedback on questions, that pop up in your audience? You are serving an overwhelming job, even in these times.

I've been mixing in Pro Tools for over a decade and didn't know you could use memory location to hide/show tracks. Thanks!

1. Quantity over quality in the beginning (for familiarization & learning purposes). 2. Spend time more for practising than watching tutorials. 3. Active listening, be analytical, be a detective. 4. Implement/imitate what you've analyzed from your active listening. 5. Find a mentor or find a structurized course (not just randomized tutorials).

I spent over 3 months to mix one song and it still sounded like I wasn't trying hard enough. The ear fadigue is real.

Be cognizant of your own headphones/speakers/monitors' frequency imbalances. Every pair of headphones has its own frequency curve where it's a little high or low, typically a little hot on things like bass and highs. Every room and pair of speakers/monitors may have issues acoustically where there are resonant peaks or dud spots. There's software out there like Sonarworks which help one to identify those imbalances and apply an inverse EQ curve to flatten/balance the listening environment.
