Children of the Revolution was really weird, didn't like it at first, but it grew on me...

I heard this earlier on KCRW live stream (06/24/2015) and had to hunt it down. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this remix. Shared it on FaceBook and everyone who listened was raving. Really pumped it up and brought out the groove.

CD1 is a compilation of Irmin Schmidt’s extensive work as a solo artist over the past 30 years, whilst CD2 - compiled and presented by long-term collaborator Wim Wenders, is an insight into Schmidt's vast work as a composer for film and television for which Wenders has also written the sleeve notes.

The two CD compilation includes tracks such as Villa Wunderbar, Kick On The Floods and Bohemian Step, alongside unreleased remixes by Schmidt of two Can tracks, Alice and Last Night Sleep.

2 December 2013 will see the long-awaited release of the Can back catalogue, remastered on vinyl for the very first time. All 14 albums, including Out Of Reach and an exclusive live bonus album, will be released on 180g vinyl in a box set alongside original posters and artwork.

In celebration I've been working on a musical art project called, "Come Together with The Beatles and Friends" It's a remix/mashup album that combines the Beatles original vocals with a multitude of cover versions from fellow artists spanning the last 50 years. Nu:Logic is a collaborative partnership between Hospital signings Nu:Tone and Logistics. The two brothers, Dan and Matt Gresham, first joined forces under this new alias in the mid noughties, with the first Nu:Logic release "On & On" appearing on Hospital in 2004. The project went on the back burner until 2010 when they released their "New Technique" EP to great critical acclaim.

The pair combine the music that they love - music with soul, atmosphere, tension and groove - together into one melting pot of sound. Whilst growing up they were exposed to the same music, but quickly found their tastes diverging. However now they are older, these have moved closer together again and at the core is a shared love of artists such as DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, MoWax, Full Cycle, Heaz, No U Turn, Jazzanova and Calibre.

With nine individual albums between them and their debut Nu:Logic album "What I've Always Waited For" released in 2013 which has been making waves in the D&B scene and beyond, it is now time for their new album "Somewhere Between The Light" which is due out in June this year.

Glam rockers T. Rex influenced many of the bands that have passed through the studios of KCRW – from Beck to MGMT – and now four of our DJs have remixed four tracks from the band for the T. Rex vs. KCRW Soundclash Remix EP.

All of the songs getting the remix treatment were Top 20 charting singles that came out in the wake of T. Rex’s seminal album The Slider. The EP closes with a cover of “Main Man” from The Slider recorded live in KCRW’s studios by Portugal. The Man.
