KCTAYLORSINGS is a singer-songwriter, rapper and independent artist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a child “KC”, as he is called by family members close to him; he would attend church and sing gospel songs. Local blues greats like Jackie Neal were also a heavy influence on his musical taste. As an aspiring vocalist, KC was mesmerized by what Patti LaBelle and James Brown could do with their voices. Needing to find his own voice and originality KC searched for inspiration, but it came at a cost. KC buried his paternal grandmother in August of 2021 and shortly afterwards his father was released from prison on parole after serving 25 years. He then, after being out for seven months, was shot multiple times and killed by the LA State Police with the US Marshals in September of 2022. Through grief KC found his own voice; one with ghetto fabulosity, the harsh traumas and realities he faced along with the divine fruit of the spirit to articulate what he wanted to say. In his own words, he is “more of a singer than a rapper, more of an artist than a singer and above all; a child from God.” 

KCTAYLORSINGS will be releasing his debut EP in March 2024, which will be followed by a series of national, local concert dates. KCTAYLORSINGS is active on social media platforms like Facebook, Indie On the Move, Instagram, etc.
