"I Was First" is a song written and produced by Matt Mackey III. This song draws from the longest personal relationship of his life, which ultimately ended up being shattered. As he attempts to look forward and leave the relationship in the past, he quotes, "Though you're not here, I'll be standing strong, moving on. I don't need to look back, I don't need you." 

He personally describes this song saying, "this song as something I didn't write, more like my circumstances wrote it for me. I put this entire song together in 3 hours after taking a hard look at my life with this person and realizing all that had transpired to get me to this point."

In a time where hip-hop is saturated with mumble rappers, KD the Pharaoh proves that lyrical rappers are still alive. His debut mixtape All Men Down One Man Up proves that KD is hungry and he’s willing to devour everyone on his way to the top. With his impressive lyrical content, original rap-style, and charismatic energy, The Pharaoh wastes no time demonstrating why he’s the ruler of his genre. In 10 songs, 2 being bonus tracks, All Men Down One Man Up tells a story of a young man who will stop at nothing to get the respect that he deserves, even it means taking it.

KD the Pharaoh started his reign in Houston, Texas and he has no shame in repping his city or the artists that came before him. The second bonus track, titled “288/Mann” is an ode to the legendary Big Moe and the city of dirty sprite.

The standout song is “What It Is”, the second track.  Before the explosive beat drops, KD the Pharaoh can be heard chanting “bow down” which sets the tone for the entire mixtape. With raw, gritty lyrics, catchy hooks and ad-libs, and a beat that will make your head nod instantly, “What It Is” will undoubtedly become a fan favorite.

All Men Down One Man Up is perfectly titled because KD the Pharaoh is holding no punches with his debut mixtape. In the outro “Let Me Be Great”, KD raps, “They don’t believe in me in it all” but that won’t be the case for long. This is only the beginning of his reign and he’s going hard for the top spot.

Young, fearless, and ambitious, KD the Pharaoh knows the rap game is a royal rumble, but he’s confident that he’ll be the last man standing.

He was born and raised in the city of the purple sprite, also known as the legendary Houston Texas. Like any other child, his life is fulfilled with dreams and realities. It wasn’t long before his maiden “Martisha” discovered he was God-Gifted in so many ways at young age. As the pharaoh grows up, music became a part of his span since 1995. He was influenced by: Biggie Smalls, “The Notorious B.I.G”, 2pac, Lil Wayne, Z-ro, Jay-Z, UGK, and many more.

Most kids hate their father for not being around in their life, but it really didn’t bother KD growing up. He understood why his father (Orobosas “Timmark” Uwaifo) couldn’t be around, but happy that he could spend time with him when he was younger. His father was a well-known Nigerian entrepreneur. Like father like son, KD is also an entrepreneur. He fell in love with the fast life, but he was smart and invest every dime he made into his career to help his mother.

 KD The Pharaoh began his journey as an underground recording emcee in the beginning of 2008. He released his first recording single "Step N My Square" on MySpace and Recieve over thousands of plays and responses. Over the years as he perfected his craft, he dropped so many hot singles with pure lyrical content and creativity, and he finally announced his first debut Mixtape "All Men Down One Man Up" dropping soon.
