George Walker's "Caprice," originally titled "Danse Exotique," is a noteworthy piece because he wrote it at the age of eighteen. Although "Caprice" was published together with "Prelude," it is distinguished by its unique atonal compositional structures and is often regarded as a standalone masterpiece in Walker's repertoire.

"Papillons," Op. 2, is a piano suite by Robert Schumann, composed in 1831, inspired by the novel "Flegeljahre" by Jean Paul. It represents a masked ball, conveying its festive and whimsical nature through musical motifs. Played as the final act to my first DMA recital.
