Birkenehead band formed in 1979 by David Hughes (guitar), Ian Powell (bass) (later Oklamotif, 11:59), Neil Buckley (keyboards), and Dave Hughes (drums), as a jazz-prog rock-oriented act. In 1980, after recruiting vocalist Paula Molyneux and under the guidance of manager Andy ‘Mally’ Jones (of Pink Moon record shop), the band changes their style towards a more pop-oriented sound. They only released one single (on their own label Alien Heat Record) in 1980, produced by Richard Brobyn
