Its first single showcases songwriter Mathias Kom’s typically irreverent, surrealist lyricism (and more Waterworld references than a Kevin Costner fan convention), over a musical landscape provided by bandmates Ariel Sharratt, Jake Nicoll, and Darren Browne, which combines a Tom Tom Club-style groove with an ASMR breakdown featuring office supplies and - fittingly - plenty of actual garbage. The accompanying video was created by the award-winning New Brunswick multi-media artist Graeme Patterson, and the single itself is being released also in the physical world on a limited edition 7” record with an accompanying comic book written for the project by the French graphic novelist and illustrator Emmanuel Moynot.

THE BURNING HELL have been writing party anthems about the apocalypse since before the apocalypse arrived at the party.

"Bottle of Chianti, Cheese and Charcuterie Board" is the first digital single from their upcoming album “Ghost Palace” and will be released Tue., Jan.07. 2025. It is an off-kilter synth and double-bass hip-shaker about the ways we reduce our lives to the fragments of bourgeois luxury that we can’t take with us when we go.

Likely familiar to anyone who wears their heart on their cardigan, Laura K forms part of Fortuna Pop'sters Tigercats. In her spare time she also plays in Jean K, Ski Saigon, Mikey Collins as well as finding moments to work on her own material. 'Apologise' is the result of some of that spare time. Though it kicks off like a Casio keyboard demo, by the minute mark it has slowly built into a swelling pop song.

Of the track Laura says "the song is about being insecure and anxious in a relationship; having negative thought patterns - not knowing if problems are real or in your head...classic! It’s also about not being sorry for your feelings."

The single is out on Postcard and digital download from Monday 4th December. The artwork was created by David Zacharis of the Smittens.
