MNL, the esteemed progressive house imprint under the Dutch Manual Music umbrella, proudly presents Makes You Wonder, the latest single from veteran producer Allan McLoud. With a career spanning over three decades, Scottish-born and Zurich-based McLoud has been a pivotal figure in the electronic music scene since the late '80s. His journey began with jazz-influenced hip-hop and evolved through breakbeat and trance, leading to a distinctive progressive house sound that has graced renowned labels such as JOOF Aura, The Soundgarden, and Mango Alley.

The original mix of Makes You Wonder showcases McLoud's signature style-deep, intelligent, and timeless progressive house that resonates with underground aficionados. Complementing the original is a remix by Serbian talent Hobin Rude, known for his releases on labels like Hoomidaas, Juicebox Music, and Sudbeat. Rude's interpretation infuses the track with his unique touch, offering a fresh perspective while maintaining the essence of the original.

German artist agls, now based in The Netherlands, makes a strong first impression with his debut release Mom I Forgot My Waterball on Manual Deep, the more introspective, leftfield imprint under the Manual Music umbrella. The track is a delicate fusion of broken beats, electronica, and IDM, weaving subtle textures with an understated emotional pull. It's chilled out, refined, and quietly powerful.

UK producer Lukaya, fresh off his recent Mirrors & Masks single, returns to Manual Deep with a remix that nudges the original into a more groove-focused space. His rework dips the track deeper into laid-back broken beat territory, offering a blissful reinterpretation that complements agls's serene aesthetic.

Mom I Forgot My Waterball

Following up on the success of Moonraker, the best-selling release on 90watts in the past year, Paul Hazendonk & Return To Saturn return with the long-awaited single So Afraid. This new outing delivers everything fans have come to expect: warm, textured chords, subtle yet infectious rhythms, and a hauntingly seductive whispering vocal that glides effortlessly over the organic groove.

Perfectly timed for summer, So Afraid is a sun-drenched blend of depth and elegance, ideal for golden hour sets and late-night sessions alike. On remix duty, Alberto Hernandez (known from Songuara and Tale & Tone) brings a slightly edgier flair to the original while remaining true to its organic house roots, adding a touch of rugged charm without losing the track's lush, emotive essence.
