The track opens onto a percolating nocturnal world where the scene is set for sound magic.

A whisper of a breath calls forth a languid yet funky groove, driven by a subterranean bass, and sparkled by fairy dust. A break is reached and the pause opens up the magic further. Evolving from the ancestral realm, the theme now expands into an organic vision of future bass. Chord stabs amplify the crystalline elegance and give it an earthy charge.

Finally returning home, the scene is transformed, and the night echoes with the resonance of a deeper calling.

This produced mix is inspired by the set I played at LIBERTY gathering 2018. Nestled in the heart of the Adirondack mountains of NY, we gather as a community each summer alongside a spring fed lake.  As the full moon rose above the misty lake, these soul vibration sounds flowed out.  This is a condensed version, intended for active listening. The depths of Keena Maya's sound are incantations, drawing us down into our roots, grounding us into our bodies, and invoking the incandescent deity within us to rise. She is a sound artist, DJ, producer, and instrumentalist. Her global #BASSBLISS sets revel in the low-end, an organic electronic transmission for heart expansion via the dance floor.  
 
She is one-half of  @being-sound - with her partner @Joro-Boro. Together they perform live #RitualBass.  She is a member of @BAEsound , a feminine powered mindful music collective, a resident of @ecstaticdancenyc, and a contributor to the global Ecstatic Dance community.  

Keena Maya is from Brooklyn and now resides in Hudson, New York, She has performed at  venues like House of Yes,  Knockdown Center, The Sultan Room, The Good Room, Judson Memorial Church, Basilica, PS21, and festivals like Dance Beyond Campout, Dance Medicine Campout, and Impulse Festival.
 
In 2024, we can expect Keena Maya to release her debut EP of #BASSBLSS.
