This album represents a time in my life where I've been able to overcome drug addiction by focusing deeply on my music. Music has already saved my life in the past as I've dealt with depression, (and still sometimes do), and there was a point when my music was the only thing keeping me going. I know that I will be an addict for the rest of my life, but in taking it one day at a time, my music really helps to keep me on the right path. “Highly Addictive” represents how music has become a healthy “addiction” in my life, and how it has replaced the negative ones, again most likely saving my life in the process.

Dubzta - Torture Chamber

Summer let out it’s last warm sigh as the cold, misty autumn days are marching in. The sun seems farther and farther each day. Under it’s pale light, at the feet of Feleac, a new concoction has been brewed. Through the falling leaves, carried by a chilling breeze, frequencies of a mysterious taste greet us and carry us into the unknown.

Put together by Digital Selekta after gathering the required ingredients, “Krond” delivers 5 moody tracks that effectively embody the specific chopped, atmospheric style of the Cluj-Napoca based producer.

Beginning with “Dusted”, an eerie head-spinning slapper, the EP progressed into it’s title track, “Krond” which breaks the atmosphere with more synthetic sounds and effects. The third track, “Migraine” pierces through with vibrant, crystalline synths which perfectly set the contrast for the fourth track, “Arbiter”, a dark, muddy stomper. “Dreams” closes the album in an eerie, misty-forest like atmosphere, making for a perfect epilogue.

With Bear - There Were Giants

Morning High ushers in a new era for Dank ‘n’ Dirty with a three-track 140 EP featuring DJ Variant. The Denver-based producer returns to the label for his debut solo release after providing serious heat for the yearly 420 compilation series.  The EP also welcomes DJ Variant to the Dank ‘n’ Dirty Dubz roster, marking his debut release on the label. 

Morning High gets straight to the point with ‘Systems’, a no-nonsense wobbler rolling around in classic dubstep textures. Then DJ Variant steps up to collaborate on ‘Melfina’, creating a forest of luscious pads and stomping basslines guided by enigmatic female vocals. Finally Morning High steps off the forest path and heads deeper into the wilderness with ‘Chakka’, where zithers, metallic distortions and murky synth voices dance over twisting sub bass.

Throughout 2022, Dank ‘n’ Dirty Dubz are celebrating 12-years of releasing soundsystem music with a brand-new look, revamped logo and a monthly drop schedule totalling 12 new releases this year. The label is excited to welcome back artists who have continually provided great music to the catalogue over the years, as well as create new connections with producers who are making waves in underground dance music worldwide. Dank ‘n’ Dirty Dubz is proud to honour this intent with its first release of the year, a 3-track dubstep EP from American producers Morning High and DJ Variant.
