Soft Break is a Rotterdam-born and based DJ, audiovisual artist and graphic designer. Early encounters with her city's jungle, dubstep and grime scene are heavily reflected in her eclectic sets. Her DJ sets move through gentle vocals, percussion, hard drums, footwork, hiphop and sub destroying bass. Expect genre-busting, energy-driven aural narratives, full of unexpected twists and turns. Graduated from No Shade DJ Mentoring Program 2020 in Berlin, she’s steadily rising. 2022 became a year of major debuts, wowing crowds at Dekmantel Festival, De School, WOO HAH!, Vandalized, Sonic Acts, SPIELRAUM and Dekmantel Selectors throughout a variety of outstanding sets. She is a founding member of the collective AMPFEMININE, curating mixes by femme-identifying DJ’s, booking talent, hosting events and parties.

Fana’ is a multimedia artist, producer and DJ from NYC. She’s known for founding Disco Paradiso, a retro-futurist party held in Cleveland, OH and her albums on labels such as Detroit’s Crisis Urbana and Kolkata’s Coping Strategies. Her mixes and productions focus on ancestral heartbreak, healing and hope. 

We are so grateful for this submission at such an important time. 

This mix is a cathartic space for healing. Featuring all Arabic music themed around resistance, resilience and the beauty of Gaza. Hip Hop, Pop and folk interwoven together for a seriously emotional journey.

The feeling was weird, as I suddenly had the impression of being split apart. When I looked behind me, I saw an older version of myself slowly running to me.
