This song took a while, for two reasons. Recording that guitar was a real hassle, but also the energy in the bassline. the only bit used of Syntrex's original track was that small piano sample, and I used none of the original song structure. Instead, I decided to use my own creativity on that part. To be honest, in this entire competition only one or two submissions have sounded like a remix.

Rhythm Roulette
RR is when a producer will use randomly selected pieces of music (usually vinyl,) and produce a beat from the random selection.

The thought process behind this one is that I personally have NEVER heard a producer sample The Beatles. ( I also may be uninformed and there may just be a beat out there using Beatles samples.)

I figured, hey, I'm a white guy, and if I'm going to sample stuff that white guys like, why not pick The Beatles instead of James Brown or Funk & Soul?

Makes sense right?

I played some fun arpeggiated chords I liked, then I ran it through some serious distortion using Izotope's Trash 2 Plugin. Included are drums i played on the Nektar Impact GX49 through FL Studio's FPC Controller.

This beat is perfect for freestyling, throwing stacks, or doing some homework.
