By this week starting on Thursday, the K2 Play YouTube channel reached out a total of 2.000 subscribers and I would like to thank you all a lot for making this dream REALLY come true.

And to celebrate this special occasion, how about uploading a different and special track from what I had uploaded ever before on SoundCloud? 

Well, here it is: a mix of jingles of two radio stations from 2010 with the same name, which is "RFM", but with different choices of jingle packages.

There's 2 radio stations in Europe called "RFM". 

One is from Portugal, which broadcasts a Rhythmic CHR/Hot AC format and the another one, from France leads more into a Modern AC (adult contemporary)/Classic Hits format, while at the same time maintaining their identity as varied Hot AC radio stations.

And while the 2010 jingles used on Portugal's RFM were produced by Wisebuddah Jingles in London, the other ones used on RFM in France were produced by an unknown jingle company or group of composers in either America or France, but I don't know which one exactly... definitely, it wasn't ReelWorld.

The real question is: which company produced these jingles for France's RFM around this time? It was a custom package produced especially for that station or not?

UPDATE: This jingle company or group of composers in either America or France that I didn't knew before has been discovered recently by a user called "Jingle Fan" here on SoundCloud.

And this company really exists or had existed, in the name of Freeway Music Business/COSTA.

"L.A's #1 Hit Music Station" is a TM Century jingle package for 102.7 KIIS FM after the 4 JAM jingle packages (Outstanding, Hot KIIS!, Fresh Kiss and KIIS/90) were released, 4 FirstCom jingle packages (Jingle Warfare, KIIS '88, KIIS '89 and Sound Alikes) were also released and now "Hollywood KIIS" from Century 21 Programming was released the same year after TM Communications and Century 21 Programming merged to become TM Century.

[ORIGINAL] Gari Media Group - The RTL News Package - All Opens & Music Tracks (1994)

This is the jingle package I grew up with: the KIIS LA Legacy 2004 package from Seattle-based ReelWorld Productions.

This package was originally produced in 2004 for 102.7 KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, CA. Later that same year, the Jovem Pan SAT network in Brazil had commissioned ReelWorld to re-sing the package in both English and Portuguese languages. 

The pronunciation of the radio station's name, "Jovem Pan" was tight, so it was a very challenging job for the vocal group at ReelWorld to sing these lyrics in Portuguese and that's why most of the cuts ended up being sung mostly in English.

But that didn't stop ReelWorld to continue producing that package for the station and when they finally released it in 2004, many people around Brazil loved the jingles so much that Jovem Pan kept using until the year 2007, when ReelWorld's new jingle and imaging service, ReelWorld ONE would be in production.

It was a legendary jingle package and it's one of the many packages that are considered to be some of ReelWorld's best work. Some affiliates of the Jovem Pan network are still using for their launch promos, including the second Top of Hour Legal ID jingle that is included within that package.

With all of that said until now, I can say that is a nostalgic, very energetic and powerful jingle package and it made part of my childhood. And yes, I AM Brazilian since the day I was born, so I'm very proud to be Brazilian. I'm very proud of my country, my nation and my family!

[K2 Throwback #2] ReelWorld - KIIS LA Legacy 2004: as used in Brazil on Jovem Pan FM!

This track belonged to Jingle Fan - reserve profile, but since he had deleted it because of limitations of posting things on SoundCloud, I've decided to repost it in my account, because no one can search these jingles anymore besides me.

Those were the jingles that were used by one of the biggest and best radio networks in France, RFM during the year 2014 until 2015 and that was produced by a famous jingle company in France. 

They've been making radio jingles in this style for national and local stations since the late-90s, early-2000s and 2010s. This custom package was used by the radio station until it was replaced by a new one produced by ReelWorld Europe that lasted for only ONE YEAR.

With all of that said until now, I can say that is a nostalgic, very energetic and powerful jingle package and it made part of French radio history through the decades.

One of my first loves in studio work was singing Radio ID Jingles. My friend Erik Huber began Reelworld Productions in Seattle in 1995. He asked me to put together some singers in Nashville, where I lived at the time, and we did our first jingle package for Kiss 108 in Boston.

22 years later, Reelworld has become the biggest ID jingle company in the world, customizing identification jingles for stations in nearly every country around the globe, and in their respective languages, and I’m still singing hundreds per month. This is a very old air-check of Philippine AM radio station DZME "Radyo Uno" 1530, which features the beginning of a news bulletin. 

It was originally recorded in the February of 2007. This radio station is based in Pasig City of Metro Manila, owned and operated by the Capitol Broadcasting Center and broadcasts a 24/7 full-service news & talk format nationwide, throughout the Philippines and the whole wide world in Filipino (Tagalog) language.

The Filipino (Tagalog) language pronunciation of that broadcaster's name is simply: "DZME (di - si - em - ih) 1530 (kinse - trenta)" or it can also be pronounced in English like this: "DZME (dee - zee - em - ee) 1530 (fifteen - thirty), which is kinda different to how the station's name would have its own pronunciation in Spanish language, exactly like: "DZME (dé - zeta - éme - eh) 1530 (mil quinientos treinta)".

And during this time, that radio station called themselves as "Radyo Uno" for the fact that broadcaster became the number one choice for news, information and reliable public service to Filipinos everywhere in the nation and around the globe through the use of their social media platforms and the DZME's official website page, battling against one of its biggest competing AM stations in the area, like for example: Manila Broadcasting Company's DZRH 666 KHz, GMA Network's Super Radyo DZBB 594 KHz and finally, ABS-CBN Corporation's DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 KHz.

Like the native Philippine reactionists would all say: 

"Mas nangunguna at nag-iisa na po para sa mga Pinoy ang himpilang kakampi ng masa sa kinse-trenta po kaysa sa mga iba't-ibang lokal na himpilan ng radyo po na pawang pagmamay-ari, pamamahala at lisensyado ng buong Ka-MBC, Kapuso at Kapamilya na sila, 'di ba? Ang grabe na po namang 'yon, eh?"

(This station that sides with the masses on fifteen-thirty is now the leader and the only one for the Filipino compared with the many local radio stations that are all owned, managed and licensed by the whole MBC, heart, and family member networks, don't ya think? That’s really something, huh?)
