Take Control', the latest single from UK producer Alan Fitzpatrick features the creative genius of his 10 year old son, Mylo Fitzpatrick. 

Kettle drum kicks and a rolling low end are paced by claps and a spritely swung hat line. Melodics build the tension to the first break where a female voice tells us to ‘let the music take control’. Fully responsive, nuanced acid and far away trance pads act as a brief oasis of calm before the final drop explodes from the speakers.

Adam Beyer is back on Drumcode with an impressive array of tracks that will get the senses tingling and shows us what Drumcode is all about. These 4 tracks are deep and almost melancholic in their approach to techno, using effects to really help enforce an ambience only Beyer can achieve within his productions. The under lying throbbing of the drums drives this EP into the forefront of the heads down Drumcode sound and have been heard in many of Beyer’s phenomenal sets throughout the year.

After the success of the Slam + Gary Beck (Alliances 1) release, Slam welcome friends and peers Pan-Pot to the next phase of their 'Alliances' series. Slam & Pan-Pot have shared the stage at many an occasion whether it be at Slam's Pressure or Return To Mono nights at The Arches & Sub Club respectively, or at the Mobilee Rooftop or Poolside parties, Off-Sonar. Pan-Pot have also remixed Slam's 'Room 2' & 'Lifetimes' tracks while Slam have reworked Pan-Pot's 'Face To Face' & 'Confronted' tracks. Their sounds are well matched, as are their personalities. 'Media' brings the drive, swing and melody that both pairs of producers do so well. Twisting and turning through delayed FX and doubling drums, 'Media' swells until it hits an epic bass sequence at the tracks half-way mark before dropping back to a stripped groove. When the two acts combine they are most certainly a formidable force. 'Media' is the perfect example of this.

Bristol-based DJ and producer Gotsome has been on an upward trajectory within the global electronic music scene since making his debut in 2014, releasing genre-bending material via labels including Ultra, Armada, Nervous and Defected, whilst collaborating with a string of notable names including AC Slater through to Jack Beats, and delivering remixes for the likes of Basement Jaxx, Kenny Dope and Roisin Murphy. 

Following the release of ‘Nomad Chat’ on Toolroom back in 2018, he now returns to the label alongside vocalist Clementine to deliver his latest single, ‘Caught In Your Rhythm’.

A production combining uplifting melodies, slick bassline sequences and sensual drums alongside Clementine’s infectious and powerful vocals, ‘Caught In Your Rhythm’ reveals an up-front, peak-time cut from the ever-impressing UK talent and marks an impressive return to Toolroom in the process.

Oscar L’s star continues to rise for Adam Beyer’s labels; after a trio of Truesoul EP’s between 2017-2019, he stepped up to make his debut on Drumcode in 2020. With a new year comes a fresh Truesoul offering, comprised of a triumvirate of cuts fit for different musical moods.

The Spanish artist expands his repertoire with ‘Under My Skin’, the title track is a perky groover driven by deep bass stabs and a cheeky vocal that will be familiar to many. Keep ‘X’ in your back pocket; it’s a weapon that builds like a sky scraper and is made for peak-time moments, when the opportunity arises. ‘Sharing With You’ was debuted at BPM Costa Rica in January 2020 and is a chugging, vocal-led gem with plenty of low-slung energy.
