A song born out of a section of a much older song from the 80's, with lyrics being written afterwards. Immediately added to the live set with great success. Worthy of its place on "3-6-4".

What's On My Mind ("3-6-4" - 2002)

Always the final song of the set - despite us all being too knackered by that point!!!

The music was born out of a jam at rehearsal, instigated by Jason Dixon, with Kevin England adding an excellent riff on the guitar and then Jason playing CHORDS on the bass over Kev's riff on the verse. Pre-penned lyrics were added last of all. ALWAYS FUN TO PLAY!

Where ' You Goin'? ("What's the Crack?!" - 1996)

Whilst still a mix of a "work in progress", this version has a more recent vocal and drum track than the mix on Kevin England's profile.

A song born out of Kevin England playing around with a de-tuned guitar, with partially pre-penned lyrics being added. One of those occasions where words and music were made to go together. The key change from minor to major is what gives this song its real identity - and those key changes were initially challenging for Kevin when recording his (what I consider to be) best solo

It's You ("Stories from the West Side" [Early Sessions - 2006])

This is THE definitive version of this song - the final mix. A song that took all of five years to be turned from an ordinary demo into a bit of an epic. Not the best song Badge ever wrote; but probably (to this point, at least!) the best RECORDING we ever made. And a real collaboration.
