The Way You look Tonight (live snippet) - Melodious Vibes Music Group

Recorded with a Blackberry Z10 during rehearsal night, April 3rd 2015. Glen and I tried a mini-medley just as we were wrapping up, combining Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" with Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get it On".

My dad is one of my biggest influencers of music. from recording me early on to learning karaoke and standing in front of everyone at family parties, he instilled in me the foundation for a gift that I couldn't imagine my life without. This is a pretty basic recording but I wanted to post it because I think his voice needs to shared, and I miss hearing him sing... I wish he'd do it more often in public.

What Do You Mean 1985 cover - dry run 3

This track is mainly driven by a sample provided by one of R&B music's most underrated artists, Leroy Hutson. Alongside contemporaries like Herbie Hancock and Donny Hathaway, Hutson's soulful discography includes Blaxploitation classics such as my favourite "The Ghetto '74", and the song from which this sample is derived, "Give This Love a Try". The dirty sample is combined with equally lo-fi vocals provided by Method Man and Redman from L.L. Cool J's "4,3,2,1".

The TrainTrax series is simply a exercise to alleviate utter boredom and to accompany my insomnia on my morning and afternoon commutes home from work. Basically, all this is just for fun and I don't mean to profit from any of it. I'd just like to learn and develop more as a maker of house music, as well as share these creations with friends and anyone else that might be interested. I would be incredibly humbled if I heard any of this shit on someone's mixtape. Just saying ;)

House Music - The Hot Trizzack

Borrowing from one of my fave R&B songs in recent years, I sampled snippets of Miguel's "Sure Thing". After several revisions, this track eventually went from a smoother 90s old-school vibe to the more electronically inspired sound more reminiscent of contemporary styles. I learned a lot of new things by working on this track that I hope to carry over to future ones. It's funny, I'm not convinced as to whether or not I'm feeling this one, but I think it's one of the most polished tracks I've uploaded so far.

House Music - Speedy Gonzales

In the search to study the sounds and other subgenres in house that compelled me to it in the late 80s/early 90s, I was again fascinated by the subtle elements that made tribal house. Deciding to stray away from the core sound and infuse a Rhodes loop as well as certain electronic licks, I ended up with this. The end product was a combination of maybe three different "sketch" tracks... all put together into something that eventually somehow worked, lol.
