KeitHKav - I Want To Fly

I did a different version of this song for A2J for their Palpitations EP that came out 2014. And for the longest time I'd been wanting the acapella files which got lost when their computer crashed. By the grace of God somehow the files were recovered which allowed me to do this more orchestral version of the song. If anything, this is the song that pushed me to finally go all the way with finishing this EP.

Caz is such an amazing song writer who knows how to tap into her life experiences. All she had to do was to sing me the song and play it for me on her keyboard and everything else just came naturally. Her vocal abilities know no bound as she can sing almost any genre of music. And now she's someone who I've grown to consider as a younger sister. I look forward to doing many more songs with her.

This is a beat I worked on while I was in Zim at the beginning of the year. It was through my good friend Mabel (Jonah's sister) in Cape Town that I got connected to him. She just said "call him up, I'm sure he'd be keen to do some music with you". So we Skyped briefly at her place. And the rest as they say is history.

This right here, was literally a Godsend of a song. Rain were in the studio to record some of their material. While my buddy Llewellyn and I were done setting up the ladies on vocals and Khathu on keys, half the band were out getting dinner. So we just decided to start sound check without them. What you're hearing is what 4 beautiful women on vocals and a pianist played. I just layered some drums and bass on top.

His love for music spans from the beginning of his high school years where it started as a mere hobby until it grew into a passion by the time he turned 18.
