‘The Chillout Sessions’, Sol Rising’s fourth full-length release of all original production, drops today. The Los Angeles based producer leaps out of his more hip-hop and funk infused dance music comfort zone to speak to another, more intimate and chill mode of life. ‘The Chillout Sessions’ is notably more of a slow flow than his past work, featuring 10 tracks merging deep trap and chill wave. These beats were crafted with the dual purpose of listening while relaxing night or day, and to inspire lively movement while vibing out to an epic sunrise.

Following 2015’ beautiful debut "Loon Garden," and 2016’s introspective sequel "Stay True," we invited friends and family to rework and reimagine music from both of @KratosHimself's albums. 

Split into two distinct halves, "Kratos Himself Remixed" spans a variety of musical stylings and interpretations throughout the nine remixes, and is bookended with a previously unreleased b-side from "Stay True."

This album goes a bit deeper, and sometimes a bit darker. Each song is inspired by a particular memorable moment or era in my life.

Some are small, like one cool summer night riding bikes home with my best friend and fireworks going off in the distance. Some are big, like the birth of my children. I really believe memorable moments that we relive over and again are so incredibly valuable, and important reminders to not miss the potential memories in the making now - these are gifts we can never fully get back, so LIVING these moments is key.
