The Deadly Winters - The Mines of Spennymoor

Alan is a contemporary singer/songwriter with more than a decade’s experience on the front line of the industry. A critically acclaimed performing artist, his debut solo album The White Eagle Lounge was released in October 2012. The album heralds the next level of Alan’s musical career, establishing him as a writer and collaborator for the future.

Originally from Belfast, Alan is now based in Edinburgh where he has forged a career at the heart of the Scottish music scene. From playing Space in Ibiza to remixing 'Space' in Scotland, Edinburgh DJ Craig Wilson's latest collaboration sees him team up with Scottish singer-songwriter Caroline Gilmour on a track that is set to be the soundtrack of a much-welcomed summer.

The new track 'Space', has them both excited. Craig said: "The track reminded me of summers at music festivals and also nights in clubs across the world - it's the sort of tune that gets everyone smiling and moving. Caroline has had a lot of success already in Scotland and I was keen to grab the opportunity to work with her. She's so talented and adaptable, and loves what I did with the track". 

The 'Space' remix is a diversion from Caroline's regular sound, but working with Craig - son of the late Scottish music legend DJ Tom Wilson - has opened Caroline's eyes to a new side of her musical skills. She said: "I've always liked dance music but it wasn't something I saw myself involved with as a singer. Craig's take on my track made me immediately think of Sia and David Guetta, but he also brought out the more rockier side of it and the end result is a perfect summer song."

Artist biogs:
Son of the late Scottish music legend DJ Tom Wilson, Craig Wilson has flourished since his first gig aged 17 and he hasn't looked back. Recently voted number 5 in Scotland's annual DJ Poll alongside the countries top jocks such as Calvin Harris, this multi-award winning DJ's CV already boasts an array of top class gigs and awards. After taking his hometown of Edinburgh by storm, Craig has performed guest slots at the legendary Space Nightclub in Ibiza, the Ministry of Sound Club in London, and warming up for Tiesto & Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello at their massive Club Life and Size Matters shows. Craig's podcast series - 'The Craig Wilson Podcast' - has proven to be extremely popular since its emergence in December of 2011, with each episode now receiving well in excess of 10,000 downloads all over the world.

Caroline Gilmour has been creating quite a buzz in Scotland after the release of her EP ‘What Georgina Said’ in July 2012.  Throughout 2012 she supported Charlotte Church, Eleanor McEvoy, Horse and Paper Aeroplanes and at the start of 2013 performed at The Celtic Connections Festival. BBC Radio Scotland and Bauer Media's Scottish In:Demand Uncut show have been great supporters and her songs have picked up a lot of play on Podcasts and Internet Radio stations from the UK to Australia. Caroline has regularly featured in the Scottish media in The Daily Record and The Scottish Sun, plus in Scotland's Largest Lifestyle publication i-On Magazine.
