The Illawarra based Housing Trust has awarded 32 education scholarships to its clients to continue their workplace and training opportunities.

The program has grown from providing three scholarships back in 2017 and has awarded more than 100-thousand dollars in prizes.

The creators of a surfing program credited with saving the lives of traumatised Defence Force veterans are hoping to win support from the federal government to roll the program out around Australia.

The Veterans Surfing Project at Gerroa has supported more than 200 veterans with P-T-S-D and other conditions.
